The challenge
Since establishment in 1972, Micheldever Group has grown to become the largest independent wholesaler, distributor and retailer of tyres in the UK, selling over six million tyres worldwide.
Following this growth, Micheldever sought to open a new storage facility in Bellshill. This facility needed to accommodate both single and bulk picking operations.
Our solution
PD Industrial assisted Micheldever Group to design, supply and install warehouse solutions for the new facility, which will house over 90,000 tyres.

The results
The final design prioritised flexibility, with a large amount of product lines and several different picking types at any one time.
We offered a mezzanine floor and pallet racking in order to facilitate flexibility for picking, and promoting longevity of the solution within the facility.
This solution has improved picking speed and operational success, despite the large amount of product lines housed within the facility.
